As a child, I've always love thinking outside the box and would try to make it come to life by putting it on paper. I wanted to have a career that would let me express myself in a creative way and putting my creativity to good use. Originally I wanted to get into animation, but turning a story into an animated show was too time consuming and I didn't have enough patience to handle it. Looking through so many advertisements, billboards, movie posters and magazine covers, I was really inspired by how creativity was used as a form of communication and persuasive.
I did research to see if there were any careers that will let me design things like that and that's when I discover graphic design. As a freshman, I was so amazed of the upperclassmen's graphic works and how they were able to turn something so simple into something that's really worth looking at. Believe it or not, art is always looked down upon as a career but the artwork that I've seen from packaging and advertisements everywhere it does show me that art careers can do great things for our society. What really inspired me to get into graphic design were the advertisements I've seen whereever I go because it inspired me to not only make creative artwork but to use creativity as a tool to convey a message without having to use words.
